We offer a variety of gunsmithing services for all your firearms, from repairs, scope mounting including laser bore sighting to get you on target, installing new sights, or tuning up your favorite gun for the best functionality and accuracy!  Other service would include, but not be limited to,  installing recoil pads on your favorite shotgun or adding a muzzle break on your go-to hunting rifle and everything in between. 

Cleaning your gun is now a breeze with our new Ultrasonic gun cleaning machine.  This new breakthrough technology in gun cleaning will get to all those nooks and crannies that your oily rag can't reach and clean your firearm just like it came from the factory.  This method will also lubricate your firearm the same way and make sure it is lubed up and ready for the range!

Are you ordering a gun online, receiving a gun from someone out of state, or perhaps you have won an auction on a bidding site and need to have the gun transferred to your name in Tennessee?  We have the means to take care of the receipt of the firearm and transfer it to you through all legal channels.  Just give us a call and let us know you are having a gun shipped to us. You'll need a copy of our FFL to send to the shipper,  and upon arrival we'll call you and get it taken care of for you.  Fee is $35 for a transfer, which is a very competitive price in this area.  

Not only are we offering Gunsmithing services, but we also do firearms appraisals.  Ever wonder what that old gun that Grandpa had is worth?  Or do you need to attach an addendum to your insurance policy?  We are offering our services as certified appraisers to let you know that very thing!  You can ship directly to us, or if you have a large collection, we'll come to you!

My name is John Delaney Jackson, but I go by my middle name Delaney. I grew up in West Texas in a family that taught me about guns and the shooting sports at an early age.  I owned my own  Stevens Favorite single shot .22 at the age of 5 and my first handgun, a Ruger Bearcat, at the age of 7. 

 I have been around firearms my whole life and was not only taught the importance of gun safety and hunting from my father and grandfathers, but that I needed to learn to clean and maintain my own firearms.  Also, coming from a relatively poor family, I learned that is important to teach our younger generation firearms safety and maintenance and how they become very precious to us as family heirlooms as well as financial investments.  

I have 50 years experience working on my own guns, family guns, and doing work for friends.  So gunsmithing and sharing my knowledge of them and ability to clean, repair and maintain guns just seemed the logical next step for me and I look forward to helping you with all of your gunsmithing needs.  

I have been in the music industry since 1987 and currently have 25 years with the multi-platinum country legend Mark Chesnutt, and still counting,  as his management, tour manager, and lead guitarist, but have always maintained my love for the shooting sports, hunting, and just simply going out and burning some powder during target practice. 

As I begin to grow older, traveling on a tour bus around the country, and flying around the world is becoming a little less appealing, yet I will continue to do it as long as I am able!

In the meantime, I will enhance my love of gun collecting, shooting, cleaning and repair with my new business with which I can do that very thing.

I've had a few people ask me "why Jumpin Jacks Gunsmithing and not just Jackson's Gunsmithing, or something simple?", and to that question I have a really good answer. 

The name of the business, and the business itself, is actually a tribute to my Dad.  I lost him almost 20 years ago and he was my shooting buddy, hunting buddy, and taught me everything about shooting sports, guns safety and how to work on and clean my guns properly. 

His CB radio "handle" (which is what we in the CB days used to use as our name on the radio) was Jumpin Jack, so in his honor and remembrance, I just had to call my business Jumpin Jacks....after all, it is said that we are to honor our Mother and our Father!
